ForexTracker takes your privacy seriously.
This document describes what information we collect, how we use it and
the rights you hold as a data subject, in compliance with Brazilian Law
LGPD (Lei nº 13.709/2018) and applicable international standards.
1. Who We Are
ForexTracker is an online trading journal and analytics SaaS platform.
For the purposes of this Policy, we are the Controller
of the personal data processed on the platform.

2. Data We Collect
2.1 Account data
- Username and e-mail address
- Password (stored as a secure hash — never in plain text)
2.2 Trading data
- Trading account details (broker, initial balance, drawdown limit)
- Session records (date, financial result, tags, notes)
- Goals and settings you configure
2.3 Technical data
- IP address and browser type (collected automatically in server logs)
- Session cookies to keep you logged in
- Aggregated, anonymised usage data for platform improvements
2.4 Lead / contact data
- Name and e-mail voluntarily submitted via the interest registration form

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share information only with:
- Infrastructure providers (cloud hosting) — strictly necessary to operate the service
- Payment processors (e.g. Stripe, Hotmart) — only data required for the transaction
- Public authorities — when required by law or court order
5. Data Retention
- Account and trading data: retained while the account is active and for up to 5 years after closure
- Technical logs: retained for up to 90 days
- Lead data: up to 2 years or until deletion is requested
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — know what data we hold about you
- Correction — fix incomplete or inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Portability — receive your data in a structured format
- Withdraw consent — cancel marketing authorisation at any time
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies:
- Session cookie — keeps you authenticated while using the platform
- Preference cookie — remembers if you dismissed the cookie notice
We do not use third-party tracking cookies without your explicit consent.
8. Security
- Passwords stored with secure hashing (bcrypt/Werkzeug)
- All communication protected by HTTPS/TLS
- Automated daily backups
- Database access restricted to internal systems only
- Each user can access only their own data
9. International Transfers
Data may be processed on servers outside Brazil (e.g. Oracle Cloud)
with equivalent protection guarantees, in compliance with LGPD Art. 33.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated
by e-mail or via in-platform notification. Continued use after notification
constitutes acceptance of the changes.
